White Lodging, Austin, TX, seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee hotel maintenance, safety, and financial performance of the engineering department. You will ensure upkeep standards align with WL and brand expectations, read blueprints, and lead a safety-first team.

Ideal candidates have strong hospitality engineering experience, leadership capabilities, and a proactive, right-first-time mindset. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction and operational efficiency within a premium hotel portfolio.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in hospitality engineering or facilities management.
• Strong technical experience from schooling or equivalent with leadership experience preferred.
• A positive attitude and passion for doing things right the first time.
• Understanding of blueprints, specifications, and operating instructions.
• Focus on safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and assists with hotel maintenance and protection, guest and associate satisfaction, as well as the financial performance of the department.
• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Proactively follow departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work safely and neatly.
• Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take corrective action, and record results per procedures.
• Read and use blueprints, diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain key inventories and procedures in coordination with risk management.
• Additional responsibilities as directed by the Director of Engineering.

What You’ll Do

• The Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and assists with hotel maintenance and protection, guest and associate satisfaction, as well as the financial performance of the department.

Know the White Lodging Way for Engineering, housekeeping, and food service operations

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards
• Proactively follow specific departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work in a safe and neat manner
• Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take necessary corrective action, and record same following specific departmental procedures
• Possess the ability to read and use blueprints, diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications
• Responsible for maintaining key inventories and procedures in coordination with risk management
• Additional responsibilities as determined by the Director of Engineering
