Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Manager in Portland, TN. This leadership role directs maintenance and engineering resources to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while driving continuous improvement across the plant.

You will lead lean initiatives, manage budgets and capital projects, and collaborate with multiple departments to optimize capacity and efficiency. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering; master’s preferred.
• Strong leadership and continuous improvement experience.
• Knowledge of Lean, ISO, JIT, and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned resources to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.
• Ensure safety standards, quality procedures and on-time delivery to customers.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff; mentor future leaders.
• Develop long-range capital plans and manage project schedules.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, maintenance and quality teams.
• Drive Lean initiatives (Kanban, Kaizen, SMED, 5S) for efficiency.
