Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is seeking a Production Manager to oversee Chicopee production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives are achieved through process improvements and team leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, and experience with Lean/Six Sigma, union plants, and ISO/IATF. Automotive Tier 1 experience is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in production or manufacturing management in a high-volume environment.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to meet production targets and improve efficiency.
• Experience developing and implementing production schedules and optimizing resource allocation.
• Demonstrates ability to analyze production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methods.
• Familiarity with OSHA and Quality Management systems (IATF, ISO).
• Automotive Tier 1 experience highly desired.
• Experience working in a union plant.

Responsibilities

• Manages all resources to promote teamwork and continuously improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
• Ensures EHS standards and procedures are followed and works with the EHS Site Lead to exceed objectives.
• Aligns production goals with broader organizational objectives.
• Plans and establishes production and manufacturing priorities; monitors data on loads, capacities, and delivery dates.
• Ensures on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
• Coordinates production activities with engineering, procurement, maintenance and quality control.
• Develops strategies to correct operational problems and improve throughput.
• Develops long-range production plans and capital improvements.
• Recruits, hires and trains staff; provides performance evaluations.
• Oversees daily workflow and sets/assesses priorities across teams.
• Establishes schedules and ensures timelines are communicated and met.
• Monitors manpower and training plans to maintain targets.
• Fosters continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Promotes accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
