Job summary

Automated Industrial Robotics Silicon Valley seeks an experienced engineering leader to guide our Silicon Valley technical team. Lead development of complex capital equipment from concept through first article and customer deployment, partnering with customers to define needs.

You will mentor senior engineers, shape architectures, manage technical risk, and ensure performance, schedule, and cost targets. Semiconductor equipment domain experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of engineering experience with complex capital equipment.
• At least 5 years leading engineering teams or multidisciplinary groups.
• Experience developing complex capital equipment and working with customers.
• Experience across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineering.
• Ability to contribute credibly in architecture reviews and risk discussions.
• Experience operating under evolving or ambiguous requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to design and deploy complex automated capital equipment.
• Collaborate with customers to translate needs into robust machine concepts.
• Shape architectures, manage technical risk, and ensure schedule and cost targets.
• Develop system architectures and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Partner with sales and other AIR units to align capabilities with opportunities.
