Job summary

NVIDIA seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Object Storage Platform and Data Movement Tools teams. You will own end-to-end delivery, drive reliability, and shape the engineering culture across two tightly coupled teams.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field— or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in an engineering management role leading teams of 10+ engineers delivering production services at scale.
• Deep technical background in distributed storage systems, object storage platforms, or large-scale cloud data services; hands-on development in Go, C++, Python, or equivalent systems languages.
• Direct, hands-on experience building or scaling S3-compatible object storage systems in production cloud or private cloud environments with improvements in throughput, durability, or operational efficiency.
• Experience building or operating cloud storage services with reliability, performance, and capacity at scale in production.
• Proven track record of shipping production software on time— managing scope, risk, and delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Strong experience with CI/CD, automated testing, SLO-based reliability, production observability, and incident management.
• Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain engineering talent and grow engineers into senior roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication— able to translate technical trade-offs for product partners and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a multi-team engineering organization, setting a high bar for software quality, service reliability, and engineering culture.
• Own roadmap execution for NVIDIA's internal object storage service—partnering with internal customers, Product Management, and Architecture to translate multi-quarter goals into clear engineering plans with measurable milestones.
• Drive development and operation of NVIDIA's S3-compatible object storage service, ensuring it meets performance, durability, availability, and scalability for AI workloads at exabyte scale.
• Lead the Data Movement Tools team in building tooling that stages datasets, model checkpoints, and artifacts from storage to GPU-adjacent compute—minimizing I/O bottlenecks.
• Define and uphold service reliability standards: SLOs, capacity planning, incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call hygiene; partner with SRE to meet availability commitments.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards: design reviews, code quality, CI/CD, automated testing, production observability; recruit, mentor, and develop engineers; build a diverse, inclusive, high-retention team.
• Collaborate with SRE, Platform, Networking, and Security teams to ensure smooth development-to-production transitions and rapid resolution of customer-impacting issues.
• Champion AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate productivity; represent the organization to senior leadership with transparent status updates and resource advocacy.
