Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a hands-on Storage Software Engineer to join the DGXC Storage team, owning open-source file systems and large GPU clusters. You will write and review production code, chase root causes, and set standards for storage delivery and durability across AI workloads.

Role combines deep systems work with technical leadership in a fast-paced, security‑minded environment, contributing to the AI era with scalable, reliable storage.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in storage software engineering and parallel/distributed file systems
• Experience diagnosing storage problems in GPU/HPC clusters
• Proficient in C/C++, Python; familiarity with Linux kernel storage/Networking
• Experience with object storage (S3/Swift-class) and block storage (NVMe-oF, iSCSI)
• Strong communication skills; able to brief engineers, SREs, vendors, and customers
• Ability to operate in a 24/7 production environment with security-first mindset
• Hands-on engineering: write/review production code and run scale tests/recovery drills

Responsibilities

• Contribute to open-source file systems and distributed storage.
• Serve as a hands-on storage software lead, writing and reviewing production code.
• Triage and troubleshoot large-scale storage issues across GPU clusters.
• Validate storage architecture, performance, and durability with scale tests and recovery drills.
• Recommend configuration, tuning, and best practices for high-performance file systems on GPU infrastructure.
• Collaborate with training, inference, SRE, networking, and cloud/storage vendors.
• Work with AI/ML teams and use AI tooling to accelerate development and operations.
