Job summary

Hyatt House Atlanta Perimeter is seeking an Engineering Lead/Supervisor to support the Chief Engineer in maintaining hotel operations and overseeing preventative maintenance. The role includes managing procurement, ensuring safety compliance, and driving energy conservation initiatives while helping the team meet financial goals within budget.

You will assist with work orders, project assignments, and documentation, perform repairs on hotel systems, and respond to maintenance requests

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building and leading maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Strong procurement, budgeting and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the preventative maintenance program with timely work orders and project assignments.
• Perform repairs and maintenance of hotel machinery, plumbing, electrical systems, and structures.
• Oversee HVAC maintenance, repair tasks, and energy conservation programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards in all maintenance work.
• Support procurement of supplies and management of purchase orders and supplier relationships.
• Maintain inventories of heat, light, power, and repair supplies; respond to maintenance requests promptly.

The role helps achieve the department's financial goals while adhering to budget guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Assist in maintaining the preventative maintenance program, ensuring timely work orders, project assignments, and documentation.Perform repairs and maintenance of hotel machinery, plumbing, electrical systems, and physical structures.Handle HVAC maintenance and repair tasks.Dismantle defective machines, replace parts, and troubleshoot malfunctions.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards in all repairs and maintenance.Assist in procurement of supplies, managing purchase orders, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.Keep up-to-date inventories of heat, light, power, and repair supplies.Monitor and manage energy conservation programs for the property.Support the hiring, training, and ongoing development of engineering staff.Respond to maintenance requests promptly, especially from the housekeeping department (within 15 minutes for occupied rooms).Conduct pool chemical testing at least twice per day.Keep a daily log of all maintenance activities.Participate in special projects and committees as assigned.Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and OSHA regulations.
