Job summary

Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort in Kissimmee, FL is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to oversee maintenance operations and support the Director of Engineering. You will apply strong technical leadership to ensure smooth facility operation and high guest satisfaction.

You will mentor the maintenance team, enforce safety protocols, manage budgets, and participate in major capital projects. Proficiency with HotSOS and MS Office is a plus for efficient resort operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in a resort or commercial environment.
• High school diploma required; bachelor's or associate degree preferred in a maintenance-related field.
• Experience with resort operations devices/software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute the strategic vision for the Engineering Department, aligning with the resort’s overall goals.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Implement, train, and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Assist in managing the Engineering Department’s budgets, capital reservations and expenses, P&L reviews.
• Participate in developing maintenance programs, procedures, and schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Support major capital improvement projects, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs and hazards.
