Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a senior engineering leader to guide a multidisciplinary team in protection & control, automation, and telecommunications design. You will drive safety, quality, schedule, and budget for customer projects, while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

You will coordinate with sales, project management, and service teams to ensure successful execution, strong customer engagement, and adherence to standards and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, or Telecommunications Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in power systems, substation automation, protection & control, SCADA or related industries.
• 5+ years of leadership experience supervising engineering teams or technical specialists.
• Strong understanding of utility and industrial automation applications.
• Excellent communication, customer engagement, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of P&C, Automation, SCADA, RTU, and Telecommunications design engineers.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specs.
• Provide technical direction and oversight during project execution, design reviews, and problem resolution.
• Support sales and proposal activities by providing technical expertise and estimating engineering effort.
• Build strong customer relationships and participate in meetings, workshops, and design reviews.
• Monitor contractual obligations, engineering scope, risks, and change management activities.
• Ensure teams are resourced, trained, and equipped to meet business demands.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, and opportunity management across projects.
