Job summary

Abbott Diabetes Care Division in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking an Engineering Lead to oversee supplier qualification for injection molding components and drive process optimization and design transfer with cross-functional teams.

You will lead technical development, collaborate with molding and tool suppliers, and ensure ADC manufacturing goals are met from start-up through scale-up, while adhering to GMP and FDA/ISO regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• Expertise in injection molding process and tool design.
• Experience with FAI, capability studies, and tool transfer methods.
• Familiarity with cGMP, FDA and ISO environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide and facilitate design/specification, purchase, installation and qualification of injection mold tools and related equipment.
• Lead supplier development and qualification for designated components/processes; drive optimization and validation activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to support project goals and ensure start-up through scale-up meets ADC requirements.
