Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN seeks a T56/Helicopter Programs Lifecycle Engineer to support in-service events for T56, M250, RR300 and CTS800 engines. You will coordinate design, performance, controls and metallurgical teams to determine root cause and corrective action.

You will also lead the Red Top process, publish service bulletins, and interface with customers, field reps and OEMs to improve reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1+ years of experience, OR Master’s degree in Engineering, OR PhD in Engineering.
• Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into and identify root cause and corrective action for in-service events
• Lead Red Top closure process for specific engine investigations
• Lead internal activities to resolve operator or Field Service Representative (FS) technical inquiries
• Define and implement containment programs and corrective actions necessary to maintain continued safe operation of the product
• Initiate Service Bulletins or Manual release/updates to support operators, OEMs, and AMCs
• Support Technical Variance (TV) and Technical Query (TQ) requests from operators/customers
• Proactively support improving engine and component reliability utilizing maintenance data and trend monitoring
