Job summary

Field AI, based in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Engineering Lead, Effectiveness & Delivery to redesign engineering workflows, reduce bug cycle time, and unify planning, delivery, and field feedback across product, engineering, QA, and deployment teams.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep engineering judgment, a strong focus on developer experience, and the ability to ship practical solutions, measure outcomes, and earn trust through concrete improvements in velocity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with leadership experience.
• Proven track record improving velocity, delivery, or operational maturity.
• Deep familiarity with modern toolchains including CI/CD and project management systems.
• Systems thinking approach to organizational friction and architecture.
• Experience redesigning or scaling engineering workflows across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement engineering workflow improvements that reduce bug cycle time from identification to resolution.
• Redesign Jira/Linear project architectures to unify work and improve cross‑team visibility.
• Design and build triage, routing, automation, and integrations to remove manual friction.
• Establish engineering‑led delivery practices for predictable project execution.
• Provide real‑time progress, risk, and capacity visibility for leadership.
• Identify bottlenecks in planning to delivery and diagnose root causes.
• Build end‑to‑end toolchain integrations linking product intent to field outcomes.
• Define clear interfaces and contracts between functions (ready for engineering/QA/field).
• Evaluate and integrate tooling to give appropriate visibility without excessive reporting.
