Job summary

Hut 8 seeks an Engineering Lead to own the data center project's engineering scope end to end. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and controls teams, drive cross-discipline issue resolution, and manage design reviews from development through turnover.

This role requires heavy interaction with EPC stakeholders and the ability to mentor engineers on design intent. You will oversee major vendor packages, triage field changes, and ensure commissioning readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience on data center or mission-critical facilities.
• At least 3 years leading multi-discipline engineering teams on major capital projects.
• Fluency across electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, and controls integration.
• Experience on projects of $250M+ construction value; hyperscale or colocation delivery preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; PE license is a plus.
• Proven ability to run stage-gate design reviews and close large comment logs.

Responsibilities

• Own the project's engineering scope end to end and establish the technical baseline.
• Drive cross-discipline issue resolution and design reviews at every stage gate.
• Oversee vendor package reviews (switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, BMS).
• Prioritize field support and manage RFIs, field changes, and design clarifications.
• Ensure deliverables support commissioning sequences and turnover to operations.
• Direct and develop the project's discipline engineers and project engineers.
