Job summary

TempWorks Software, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Minneapolis to guide a multi-disciplinary team in delivering high-quality, timely software. You will own code quality, manage dependencies, and mentor engineers across REST API and .NET workloads.

You will collaborate with architects, PMs, and QA to balance scope, deliverables, and risk. Expect strong emphasis on leadership, coding, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in enterprise web apps
• 4+ years C# experience
• 2+ years MS SQL experience (4+ preferred)
• 4+ years REST APIs with C#/.NET/ASP.NET
• Experience with Git
• Experience with MSTest/NUnit/XUnit/Moq
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and DevOps, Azure preferred
• CI/CD, preferably Azure YAML pipelines
• Experience with static/dynamic analysis tools like SonarQube/Veracode/ReSharper

Responsibilities

• Acts as scrum master, leading their assigned team through scrum ceremonies (standup, refinement, planning, review, retro)
• Proactively identifies when team members are blocked
• Ensures the team understands business requirements
• Reviews code written by engineers and maintains standards
• Promotes cross training and documentation of tasks
• Coordinates with external stakeholders to align on workload and timelines
• Spends 10–20% of time writing code or performing technical duties
• Engages in continuous personal growth of software knowledge
• Looks for ways to improve team, department, and company
