We are looking for an Engineering Lab Coordinator to support our team at our corporate location in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Job Summary:

This position serves as the primary coordinator of the Engineering laboratory operations, overseeing the daily activities of lab technicians and testing through-put for the organization. The LSI laboratory facilities are both a UL certification Customer Test Data Program (CTDP) as well as an ANAB accredited photometric laboratory. The role includes managing test schedules, maintaining test data and documentation, ensuring the functionality and certification of lab equipment, and supporting continuous improvement in lab procedures. In addition, facilitation with annual audits to maintain accreditation with UL and ANSI are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential to the success of this role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed:

  • Supervise and coordinate product testing setup and execution.
  • Monitor and oversee product testing processes
  • Lead the recording and analysis of test results and summarize findings for engineering management review.
  • Ensure proper cleanup of products and equipment post-testing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to establish testing priorities.
  • Manage lab schedules and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all lab equipment is maintained, certified, and in optimal working conditions.
  • Comprehend and implement IES photometry procedures and UL testing protocols.
  • Lead the review and updates of testing procedures, guiding lab personnel through changes.
  • Facilitate UL and ANSI laboratory annual audits and re-accreditation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role functions as a Team Leader, providing oversight and direction to lab personnel. It includes the authority to recommend changes in procedures and disciplinary actions when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience).
