Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Lead Engineering Lab Assistant to perform hands-on technical work and support engineers and lab technicians on a wide range of products.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience reading prints, drawings, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Works under minimal supervision to provide technical build support to engineers and technicians on a variety of tasks.
• Performs moderately complex hands-on technical tasks that contribute to the completion of engineering projects and products.
• Works on circuit boards completing repairs, component insertion and replacement, and inspection.

• Builds cables and terminations for a wide variety of circuitry types.
• Reads prints, drawings, and schematics as needed to assist in the build process.
• Uses hand tools, scopes, soldering stations, and other devices with skill and precision.

This position is for a Lead Engineering Lab Assistant who works under minimal supervision. You will perform hands‑on technical work on engineering products. You will confer with Engineers and lab technicians on details and specifications to build and modify a wide range of products.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles

The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD - 114,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
