Job summary

EFCO Corp. invites engineering students to join the Summer 2027 Engineering Internship in Washington, D.C. The role focuses on drafting and engineering support on active projects, with mentorship and exposure to multiple business areas.

You will apply CAD, math, and problem-solving skills while working with experienced engineers and drafters. The internship is 100% onsite, offers competitive pay, and provides networking, training, and potential for future full-time employment consideration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD systems and drafting practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and engineering support for presale and contracted work (75%).
• Assist with layout drawings, equipment selection, and quantity take-offs.
• Work under supervision to meet project specs, accuracy, and safety.
• Apply math and technical skills to develop high-quality EFCO solutions.
• Complete onboarding, safety training, and process orientation (25%).
• Learn and implement EFCO’s drafting and engineering practices.
• Communicate ideas clearly in writing and speech; be accountable.
