Job summary

Hybron Inc. seeks a motivated, in-person engineering intern at its Hawthorne facility for 10+ weeks. You will work across multiple tasks in a fast-growing startup, gaining hands-on experience with Hybron’s composites process and related technologies.

The role emphasizes self-starter mindset, collaboration, and a passion for cutting-edge manufacturing, especially in aerospace/defense contexts. Housing stipend is offered and daily on-site presence is expected.

Qualifications

U.S. Person pursuant to EAR/ITAR definitions.
Currently enrolled or recently graduated (Summer 2027) to apply.
Experience with basic manufacturing parts across materials.

Responsibilities

Assist with design, modeling, and tolerance of composite parts and tooling.
Prepare and lay up raw composite materials for fabrication.
Fabricate tooling from steel, aluminum, plastic, or composite.
Operate and maintain presses, ovens, CNC machines, and 3D printers.
Conduct mechanical, nondestructive, and destructive testing with calipers and gauges.
Design experiments for materials and processes and analyze results.
Contribute to automated systems and robot concepts for manufacturing.
