Job summary

Olsson in Tulsa is seeking a summer 2025 fire protection engineering student intern to join our facilities engineering and design team. You will perform hands-on, real-world work and learn from experienced staff while contributing to the design and implementation of fire protection systems.

You’ll use Revit and AutoCAD to create construction documents and specifications, collaborate with engineers, and develop your skills in a supportive, team‑driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Pursuing a degree in fire protection and safety engineering technology or other related engineering degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with either Revit or AutoCAD preferred, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Olsson provides engineering services for large commercial developments, hospitals, laboratories, school/university buildings, and military facilities. As a summer 2025 fire protection engineering student intern on our facilities engineering and design team, you will perform meaningful, hands‑on, real‑world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You’ll work alongside experienced staff and engineers contributing to the design and implementation of fire protection systems that ensure safety and compliance. You’ll use both Revit and AutoCAD to create construction documents and specifications.
