Job summary

Olsson is seeking a summer student intern to join our industrial team in Lincoln or Omaha. You will work alongside experienced staff and engineers to create construction documents and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3-D, while supporting electrical design tasks such as power distribution and lighting analyses.

You will develop hands-on skills, communicate effectively, and contribute to projects that improve communities.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Revit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating construction documents and specifications with senior staff.
  • Contribute to electrical design services including power distribution and lighting.
  • Support arc flash studies and electrical modeling tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineers using Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3-D.

As a summer student intern, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll work alongside experienced staff and engineers using Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3-D to create construction documents and specifications. Our electrical design services can include power distribution, lighting, arc flash studies, and electrical modeling.

We are looking to hire one individual to work from either our Lincoln or Omaha locations.
