Job summary

Parsons, a leading technology firm, invites interns to join a small development team focused on cutting-edge CNO capabilities. You will collaborate with expert developers to design and implement tools that maximize mission effectiveness, and you will participate in QA and field testing in the Northern Virginia area.

The internship seeks applicants pursuing a BS in CS/CE/SE/Math with a 3.0+ GPA, US citizenship, and the ability to relocate to Centreville, VA or Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• US citizen; eligible for security clearance
• Pursuing BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• GPA 3.0 or above.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

• Work directly on a small, tight knit development team helping to develop and deliver state of the art computer network operations (CNO) capabilities.
• Work directly with expert software developers to design and develop tools to achieve maximal mission effect.
• Will perform quality assurance (QA) and testing activities with some of the equipment. This may include field testing outdoors in the Northern Virginia area.

Locations: Centreville, VA, AND Charlotte, NC.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen (will be required to obtain, maintain or currently possess a security clearance)
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Must have a GPA 3.0 or above
• The position may require some lifting and moving of equipment (under 50 lbs), cables, tripods, clamps, etc.

Desired Qualifications

• C++ and/or Java development experience
• Python experience
• Web application experience
• Linux experience
• Courses or experience with network protocols and tools such as wireshark
• Courses or experience with designing multi threaded applications.

Salary Range

$22.93 - $40.14
