Parsons seeks a Sr Systems Engineer to lead cybersecurity assessments and vulnerability analyses for large-scale DoD space and weapons systems within our Federal Solutions team. Travel is infrequent (CONUS/OCONUS), and the role offers impactful work across architecture, design, and operations.

You will apply deep systems engineering expertise and cybersecurity knowledge to shape solutions, mentor teammates, and produce technical papers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
• Strong systems engineering and cybersecurity knowledge.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
• DoD/DoD systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DoD systems.
• Lead vulnerability assessments using architecture diagrams and design documents.
• Foster relationships with customers to gain insights and information for mission success.
• Provide technical guidance to technical support, writers, and others.

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to leverage your existing systems engineering and cybersecurity knowledge to lead and perform in depth vulnerability assessments, identify threats and develop mitigations of weapons and space systems under the US Combatant Commands (COCOM's).

Infrequent travel (CONUS and OCONUS)

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DOD systems, utilizing an OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) mindset to perform DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities.
• Perform long term, in depth vulnerability assessments leveraging systems engineering principals and knowledge, utilizing any available information, including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture.
• Leverage your interpersonal skills to foster relationship development with our customers to gain additional insights, information, and documentation to improve our ability to accomplish our mission.
• May serve as a team facilitator in providing technical guidance to technical support, technical writers, and others.
• Gathers business and product functional and performance requirements.
• Defines and designs complex and difficult system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
• Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
• Authors technical whitepapers on approaches to the client's operational needs, and as a basis for future development and proof of concept.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Minimum of 12 years of Systems Engineering experience. Experience may be substituted with education as follows: High School Diploma: + 12 years System Engineering Experience, Relevant Bachelor's degree: STEM field + 8 years System Engineering, Relevant Master's degree: STEM field + 6 years System Engineering
• Strong Systems Engineering expertise
• Healthy knowledge of cybersecurity / vulnerability assessment process
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Cybersecurity certification (Sec+, CISSP, CEH, etc.)
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160
• Familiarity with INCOSE defined life cycle systems engineering processes
• Experience with/ knowledge of large-scale DoD Systems

Security Clearance Requirement

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range

$112,200.00 - $196,400.00
