Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern in Winslow, ME to join the Manufacturing Plant engineering team. You will work on a hands-on project focused on improving processes and supporting operational excellence.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain practical experience in data visualization and documentation, and develop professional skills through mentorship and structured learning opportunities. Housing assistance is available.

Your Role: Engineering Intern – Winslow, Maine (Summer 2027)

As a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Engineering team at our Winslow, Maine manufacturing plant, contributing to a hands‑on technical project focused on improving processes, solving business challenges, and supporting operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities:

• Understand the manufacturing environment and how to collaborate with different stakeholders to solve problems
• Work within cross-functional teams to build vendor relationships and new process capability implementation
• Data visualization tool creation/usage and documentation updates

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Education: Currently enrolled in an Engineering major including (but not limited to) Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process
• Top Skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision

Additional Information:

• Travel: 10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing
• Location: Winslow Manufacturing Plant, Winslow, ME
