Job summary

BWXT invites engineering students to join our Lynchburg, VA internship program. This on-site position provides hands-on experience delivering engineering solutions for nuclear applications and includes a housing stipend for eligible interns.

Internships run for 10–12 weeks, with opportunities to present work to BWXT leadership at the end of the term. A DOE clearance may be required for certain assignments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering.
• US Citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance.

Location:

On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia. BWXT offers paid internships along with a housing stipend for those interns whose home of record is more than 50 miles from Lynchburg, VA. Internships will last approximately 10-12 weeks. At the end of the internship, each intern has the opportunity to present their completed work/ assigned projects to the leadership team.

Your Day To Day As An Engineering Intern

Required Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program pursuing a degree in Engineering.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
