Job summary

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and engineering tools such as SolidWorks, Python or MATLAB

Responsibilities

  • Focus on creating systems to support RF collection through development, test and deployment of antenna systems and mission processing
  • Work on cutting edge technology supporting Space Force missions
  • Conduct simulations and analyses to verify system performance via MBSE
  • Contribute to national security through advanced RF collection capabilities
  • Create and maintain system diagrams, wiring diagrams, power budgets and BOMs for antenna systems
  • Develop and present design reviews with clear technical communication
  • Assist in preparing presentations to demonstrate progress and capabilities
  • Engage in R&D activities to enhance designs and functionalities
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation to support R&D initiatives

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking talented, creative, and highly motivated Aerospace Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering Interns to join our team! The internship will begin in May and last 12 weeks. You will be required to work 100% on-site in the Sterling, VA office.

Dive into an exciting internship with GROUPER, a dynamic IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract for RDT&E (Research, Development, Test and Evaluation) with the United States Space Force. You’ll work in a vibrant and innovative environment, collaborating on cutting-edge technology projects that support critical Space Force missions. This is your chance to contribute to enhancing national security through advanced RF (Radio Frequency) collection capabilities.

Responsibilities:

You will work under the guidance of a technical manager who will provide training and mentorship.

  • Focus on creating systems to support RF (Radio Frequency) collection through the development, test, anddeployment of antenna systems and the mission processing to support
  • Opportunity to work on cutting edge technology supporting critical Space Force missions
  • Conduct in-depth and advanced simulations and analyses to verify system performance and quality through MBSE applications
  • Contribute to enhancing national security through advanced RF collection capabilities
  • Create and maintain detailed system diagrams, wiring diagrams, power budgets, RF link budgets, BOMs, etc. forsmall, medium, and large aperture antenna systems
  • Develop and present design reviews, ensuring clear communication of technical concepts
  • Assist in preparing presentations to demonstrate project progress and system capabilities
  • Engage in R&D activities to enhance system designs and functionalities
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation to support R&D initiatives and program requirement
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at anytime in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
  • Familiarity with relevant applications: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio,SolidWorks/CAD, Python/MATLAB

Desired:

  • Familiarity with relevant applications: Systems Tool Kit (STK),Altium

  • Minimum GPA of 3.3. or higher is preferred, but not required

  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience

Pay Range :

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
