Johns Manville invites engineering students to join the Summer 2027 Engineering Internship in Etowah, TN. The program emphasizes hands-on projects, mentorship, and seminars, with possible pathways to full-time roles after completion.

You will work with mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines on real-world plant initiatives and documentation tasks. Selected interns gain exposure to product development processes, data analysis, and teamwork within a leading Berkshire Hathaway company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. degree in engineering (Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering).
• Completed at least sophomore year of undergraduate coursework.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services for less complex technical problems and recommend a course of action.
• Provide engineering services for more complex problems under direct guidance of higher-level engineering personnel.
• Take an active part in the execution of product development projects.
• Assist Sr. Engineers on technical service initiatives with sampling, analysis, troubleshooting, process improvement, and recommendations.
• Develop and integrate product and process documentation ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Provide project status and update reports as required.

$41,600.00-$52,600.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.

Who We Are Looking For

• Engineers who are interested in a 2027 summer internship who are available to start at the middle to end of May and work full time until the first week of August.
• Students currently pursuing a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

Important Information

What You Bring to the Team

Preferred Qualifications

• GPA of at least 3.0 at an accredited college or university.
