Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is seeking an Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Erie, PA. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in product design, drafting, and engineering project support within a dynamic, values-driven environment.

The intern will work closely with the engineering team on design modifications, drafting tasks, and technical research, gaining exposure to real-world processes and leadership mentoring during the summer program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a mechanical engineering technology field or related program.
• Completion of coursework relating to design and drafting is required.
• Able to commit to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Demonstrates efficiency, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.
• Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic product design modifications.
• Perform AutoCAD & Inventor drafting tasks on drawing revisions and creation.
• Develop basic detail and assembly drawings for products and equipment.
• Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products.
• Communicate with team members to gather information about project requirements or to report progress on a project.
• Conducting technical research to identify issues and propose solutions.

The Zurn Elkay Engineering Internship offers a great opportunity for exposure in a hands-on learning environment. You will have the opportunity to develop a variety of technical, business, and leadership skills during the assignment.

The responsibilities the intern will complete may include involvement with product design, project management, failure mode analysis, physical product testing, and assisting the engineering department wherever possible.

As a part of the intern program, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the following:

Qualifications/Requirements

• Currently attending school for a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, or similar
• Must have completed course work relating to design
• Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer
• Efficient and detail-oriented
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
