Job summary

Haag Streit USA is offering a full-time Mechanical Engineering intern position designed to apply classroom knowledge to real-world, project-based work. The intern will design fixtures, layouts and tooling, assist on the production floor, observe and update work instructions, and help drive process improvements with new technologies.

As part of the team, you will gain experience in inventory control, data entry and analysis, and reporting, while developing CAD skills and Lean Manufacturing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Highly motivated, curious and growth-minded.
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Effective computer, verbal communication and written/report writing skills.
• Basic CAD knowledge.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Deadline oriented and the ability to complete tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fixtures, layouts, and tooling
• Assist on floor with maintenance and production
• Observe and create updated work instruction manuals
• Help innovate work process with adoption of new technologies

Intern – Mechanical Engineering

This is a full time opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering intern who is ready to apply knowledge of engineering principles to a project-based, fast-moving real-world experience. The self-motivated intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including but not limited to, improving manufacturing processes, designing fixtures, layouts and tools, and working with complex data. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in mechanical engineering.
