Job summary

ICL Group is seeking an Engineering Intern to help identify and implement process improvements by applying sound engineering principles. The role involves interaction with operators, maintenance, supervision, plant leadership and corporate support personnel, with potential ownership of projectManagement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Completed sophomore year in college.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to relocate if not local.
• Highly motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identifying improvements and optimizing processes through changes to equipment, systems, practices and procedures
• Assist with identifying opportunities, developing and coordinating plant projects to improve process capabilities, safety and competitive position
• Coordinate troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking and plant tests with other technical personnel
• Assist with performing technical and economic evaluations of alternative processes and determine relative costs compared to existing processes
• Assist with monitoring environmental regulations and performance against regulations
• Participate in plant safety activities
