Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) seeks a Resident Engineer Intern to join the team in Barberton, OH.

The role involves in-shop quality and manufacturing oversight, working under supervision to ensure contract compliance and process improvements. You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to monitor performance, support data-driven decisions, and promote operational excellence across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum of four full semesters completed prior to internship.
• Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support operational performance, quality, and compliance oversight for suppliers or components.
• Interpret technical drawings and procedures to ensure contract compliance and efficient process execution.
• Assist with audits, time studies, and process review; track corrective actions.
• Support engineering and program management activities, including review of vendor submittals and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and BPMI to meet program objectives and assess delays.
