Job summary

Kapco is seeking an Engineering Intern for a 3-month part-time role in Kent, Ohio. The intern will support the manufacturing and maintenance engineering team, gaining exposure to hands-on industrial engineering tasks, including facility layout design and implementation of maintenance systems.

This internship offers valuable real-world experience, particularly in AutoCAD design and the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). The ideal candidate is currently pursuing an engineering degree and has a strong interest in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in relevant engineering field.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Organize work centers and assets within the CMMS.
  • Standardize maintenance documentation.

Skills

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Interest in manufacturing operations

Education

Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
