Job summary

Nikkiso ACD, a Santa Ana, CA-based engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking entry-level Manufacturing Engineers or new graduates. The role focuses on creating instructions, improving processes, and designing tooling to support lean, efficient plant operations.

The position emphasizes hands-on learning in a manufacturing setting, with opportunities to apply Six Sigma methods and contribute to layout improvements in a cryogenic pumps and turbines environment.

Qualifications

• Driven college students or recent graduates with a major in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Ambitious individuals eager to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering, mechanical design, critical thinking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create pictorial work instructions for assemblies and processes.
• Create/revise simple Bills of Operations (BOO).
• Create simple rework travelers for non-conforming parts.
• Design simple tooling and fixtures.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Observe and work with operators to understand and improve processes.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodology with production and engineering teams.
• Improve facility layout, workflow and material flow guidelines.

For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA.

Job Overview

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Creating pictorial work instructions of assemblies and processes
• Creating/revise simple (BOO) Bills of Operations
• Creating simple rework travelers for non-conforming parts
• Designing simple tooling and fixtures
• Identifying process improvement opportunities
• Observing and working with operators to understand/improve processes.
• Utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology to work with the production team and engineers.
• Improving and modifying facility layout – workflow and material flow guidelines.
