Job summary

Permobil is looking for an Engineering Intern in Pasco, WA. This part-time role (30-40 hours/week) offers a pay range of $22.00–$27.00 per hour and 1st shift. The internship focuses on building foundational mechanical and biomedical engineering skills through hands-on design, testing, and documentation with guidance.

Active enrollment in a Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering program is preferred. Prior coop/internship experience is a plus, and strong problem-solving is valued in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering projects by completing defined tasks under close guidance.
• Support engineering projects with entry-level tasks under supervision and mentorship.
• Apply classroom fundamentals to real-world design, testing, and development activities.
• Assist in identifying straightforward technical issues and propose ideas with guidance.
• Communicate task progress and learnings clearly to mentors.
• Develop habits in engineering documentation following templates and quality requirements.
• Learn when to elevate questions to supervising engineers.
• Support engineering test activities including setup, execution, and reporting.
• Assist in developing and revising test protocols with defined objectives and criteria.
• Prepare and configure test setups, fixtures, and equipment for testing following procedures.
