Job summary

Bayer invites an Engineering Intern-4 in Soda Springs, Idaho to join our Crop Science division. You will work with engineering and maintenance teams on projects to improve chemical processes and plant efficiency, while learning from experienced professionals.

Qualified students are enrolled in an engineering bachelor’s program (Sophomore or higher) and able to work 40 hours weekly in a chemical plant environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's Degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Sophomore year or higher and returning to school after internship or co‑op.
• Ability to drive to and from work location.
• Willingness to work in a chemical plant environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week and climb stairs and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to enhance chemical processes, improve yields, reduce waste, and cut cycle times.
• Help develop objectives by analyzing stakeholder requirements and basic design packages.
• Ensure projects follow engineering standards and safety/environmental regulations.
• Work with facilities and reliability teams to understand maintenance and reliability programs.
• Perform and verify engineering calculations using standard methods.
• Conduct cost, feasibility, and planning studies with data analysis.
