Job summary

The Loxahatchee River District offers an Engineering Intern opportunity designed to integrate classroom knowledge with practical experience. The internship emphasizes field work, GIS map updates, and asset data entry in EAM, under supervision.

Schedule is Monday–Friday up to 30 hours/week during a 3-month term, with potential for school credit. Open to students enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs; must pass drug and background checks and possess a Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or Industrial Engineering program.
• GIS familiarity.
• Valid Florida driver's license; drug test and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Following specific test procedures to determine functionality of assets.
• Following specific inspection procedures to determine condition of assets.
• Use of GIS system for field navigation.
• Use of CMMS system for data entry
