Job summary

Jensen Hughes is seeking an Intern for our Concord, CA office to support engineers and contribute to Probabilistic Risk Analysis development under close supervision. This role provides practical exposure to diverse safety and security projects, with guidance from experienced professionals.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering and have at least two years of undergraduate coursework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or other related engineering fields.
• At least two years of undergraduate schooling.
• Responsible self-starter with problem solving and reasoning skills.
• Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills to write reports, business correspondence, presentations and procedure manuals.
• Passion for advancing the science of making our world safe, secure and resilient and exceeding our client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of technical tasks that provide familiarity with programs, staff, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate and work under the direction of engineers to support Probabilistic Risk Analysis development and application
• Performs developmental assignments involving the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.
• Applies prescribed method to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
