Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering offers a summer internship opportunity in Columbia, SC. Interns will observe field activities, contribute to pre-construction design, and learn regulatory compliance while supporting project managers.

You will gain exposure to all stages of civil engineering projects and client interactions. Ideal candidates are pursuing ABET-accredited degrees in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, have a valid license history, and can work outdoors year-round.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
• Majors include Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have a valid Driver's License with clean driving history (3 years).
• Able to work outdoors on a construction site in all seasons and weather conditions.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently while completing tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members, BLE leadership, and authorities.
• Must be detail oriented and time efficient.
• Basic familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis.
• Observe and document field activities; perform calculations and data reduction.
• Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project stakeholders.
