Job summary

Metromont LLC is seeking an Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in precast concrete manufacturing and structural design. You will work with plant experts and engineers, applying academic knowledge to real-world projects in a hybrid plant/office setting.

The internship offers exposure to operations, site visits, and design reviews, with supervision and a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Hours typically 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with adjustments during training.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering software preferred.
• Prior internship or co-op in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to plant operations including Steel Fab, Material Handling, Quality Control, Carpentry Shop, Batch Plant, Dry/Wet Finishing.
• Participate in project site visits to understand the erection process.
• Assist in structural design and analysis with experienced engineers; review drawings under supervision.
• Complete a mock design project.
• Must adhere to Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
