Job summary

Duke Energy offers engineering internships/co-ops across Transmission, Distribution, Environmental Health and Safety, Regulated and Renewable Energy, Project Management & Construction, Natural Gas, Nuclear and New Nuclear Generation. You will work with staff engineers on real-world projects and gain hands-on experience while rotating through multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering program (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Must not graduate prior to August 2026.
• Cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Work on real-world projects with experienced engineers.
• Rotate through Transmission, Distribution, Environmental Health and Safety, and other engineering groups.
• Assist with design, analysis and project coordination for energy infrastructure.

Education

ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's in Nuclear, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial & Systems Engineering; or Bachelor's in Engineering Technology/Construction Management
