Job summary

Vercel is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our San Francisco team. You will work on real projects, mentored by experienced engineers, and contribute to products used by developers worldwide. Expect to grow through hands-on ownership of projects and collaboration with Go/Rust knowledge as a bonus.

You will be based in San Francisco and must be able to commute on Mon/Tues/Fri. A strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript and a proactive, written communication style are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with graduation in Dec 2027 or May 2028.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript; Go or Rust is a bonus.
• Wants to understand root causes and how problems break.
• Works independently and surfaces blockers early.
• Excellent written communication; comfortable with asynchronous collaboration.
• Comfortable using AI tooling to accelerate work, while able to defend and explain outputs.
• Based in San Francisco and able to commute Mon/Tues/Fri.

Responsibilities

• Own an end-to-end project: scope, build, ship, and observe in customers' hands.
• Write and review production code with the team maintaining it.
• Debug real systems under real conditions, tracing issues to root cause.
• Communicate progress clearly, including blockers when they arise.
