Job summary

Whitestone Associates, Inc. is a Tampa-based geotechnical and environmental consulting firm seeking a summer intern.

The internship runs May/June through August with flexible hours based on project needs. Responsibilities include soil laboratory testing, on-site materials testing, geotechnical site research, field testing and inspections, soil boring/test pit investigations, Phase I ESAs, Phase II investigations, and assisting with due diligence reports and regulatory submittals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; and ideally candidates will have taken and passed a Soils Laboratory class.

Responsibilities

• Soil laboratory testing and coordination
• Assisting with materials testing in our on-site laboratory
• Geotechnical site research
• Some field construction phase testing and inspection
• Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations
• Assisting with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
• Phase II Site Investigation/Remedial Investigations; and
• Assisting with due diligence reports and regulatory agency submittals.

This is a summer internship running from May/June through August, with flexible hours based on our project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Soil laboratory testing and coordination;

Higher compensation than the amount listed below may be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Hourly Pay Range

$20 - $22 USD
