Job summary

Hexcel is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Salt Lake City matrix in Utah. The role offers project-based assignments and rotations through core engineering areas to build hands-on experience during the internship.

You will work on analyzing manufacturing techniques, performing tests, and supporting data-driven process improvements while developing cost proposals and project schedules under guidance.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or junior level in a B.S. degree program from an accredited college or university in Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Civil or Manufacturing Engineering
• Ability to work effectively as a team member
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Current computer literacy including Microsoft Office Products

Responsibilities

• Completion of assigned projects that utilize skills learned in formal education
• Project-based work assigned by department manager; may include analysis of manufacturing techniques, procedures and processing conditions
• Perform testing on electrical/mechanical components and recommend improvements
• Data analysis in support of process and productivity improvements
• Assisting with inspections of equipment
• Safety analysis and improvement projects
• Development of engineering cost proposals and project scheduling
• Rotation through key areas such as Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Safety Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering
