Job summary

Daikin Applied, a leader in HVAC, is seeking an Engineering Intern in the United States. You will contribute to real business priorities by supporting and owning engineering projects, analyzing data, and assisting in design, testing, and validation of products.

You will work with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while developing practical skills and professional networks. Growth opportunities are available.

You will build practical skills, expand your network, and gain exposure to career opportunities at Daikin Applied.What you will doOwn or support a meaningful engineering project aligned with an approved team need.Research and analyze technical data, customer requirements, specifications, and design documentation.Support the design, testing, validation, and improvement of commercial HVAC products, components, or systems.Develop test plans, collect and analyze data, and communicate findings and recommendations.Use engineering tools and sound problem-solving methods to support product development, research, testing, or manufacturing initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional partners and document project progress through reports and presentations.What we are looking forCurrently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related discipline, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029. Graduate-level students are encouraged to apply.Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or a similar tool preferred.Foundational engineering coursework such as Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Statics, Dynamics, Manufacturing Processes, or related courses preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.What you can expectPaid, hands-on experience connected to real business priorities.An engaged manager, a peer mentor, and opportunities to learn from other interns and leaders.Professional development, networking, and community-building experiences.Additional informationThis is a general evergreen posting.
