Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct research using the internet and other sources of information.
• Perform analytical work for design and manufacturing objectives.
• Assist R&D related projects.
• Create memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed by engineering personnel.
• Create or update systems or designated databases for specific department needs.
• Develop drawings using engineering principles, established company standards, procedures, and instructions.
• Complete tasks that assist daily engineering and project management functions.
• Follow best practices, policies, and procedures in the design, layout, and documentation of all company products. Specific tasks may include making models, drawings, and assemblies using the CAD system and other computer tools.
• Provide regular feedback and updates to project team members and immediate supervisor about the status of assigned tasks.
• Generate approval prints for customer review.
• Present project results to management and/or department personnel.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Engineering Intern is an entry-level position. The intern will work with various team members within the engineering department which allows the individual to gain experience in multiple engineering roles.

Engineering Intern Duties and Responsibilities will vary by intern based on individual skills and company needs

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G-Suite.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 and/or Autodesk Inventor 2018 or later is preferred.
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multitask work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work proactively and independently on a broad variety of projects.

Engineering Intern Physical Requirements
