Job summary

Jobtailor in Minnesota seeks a motivated undergraduate to support renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, battery storage, and combustion turbine development. You will assist with project tracking, reporting, and documentation while gaining hands-on field exposure.

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• Willing to travel within the TX/NM region and work hybrid between office and sites.
• Able to work full-time during summer and part-time during the school year.

• Support energy generation projects across wind, solar, battery storage and combustion turbine developments.
• Assist with project tracking, reporting, and documentation under supervision.
• Collaborate with project managers, coordinators, engineers, and contractors.

Job description

• Support active energy generation projects, including Wind, Solar, Battery Energy Storage, and Combustion Turbine developments
• Support project teams with project tracking, reporting, and documentation
• Participate in field visits to active construction sites to observe project execution and safety practices
• Collaborate with project managers, coordinators, engineers, and contractors
• Learn project development and construction processes for wind, solar, battery storage, and combustion turbine facilities
• Complete assigned tasks under supervision while following established procedures and safety requirements
• Split time between the office and active construction sites
• Assist with project coordination, data collection, reporting, and construction support activities

Requirements

• Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027)
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university
• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
• Travel would be within the TX/NM region
• Able to work full-time during the summer, up to 40 hours a week
• Able to work part-time during the school year, up to 20 hours a week
• Able to commute to the designated work location in-person, per the hybrid work policy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred
• Interest in renewable energy, power generation, and large-scale infrastructure projects preferred
