Danfoss North America Solutions Engineering in Plymouth, Minnesota is seeking a summer 2027 Engineering Intern. You will engage in design, analysis, implementation, testing and troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical systems for agricultural and construction vehicles, with hands-on and theory work.

• Authorized to work in the United States without work authorization.
• At least 60 credit hours of college coursework completed by summer 2027 (sophomore/junior level).
• We will consider applicants with at least 30 credit hours completed with exceptional skill/work experience.

The Impact You'll Make

The Danfoss North America Solutions Engineering team in Plymouth, Minnesota is seeking an intern for summer 2027! Our intern will support ongoing new system development programs applicable to agricultural and construction vehicles. As well as, be involved in design, analysis, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical systems. The position is full-time (40 hrs/wk) with flexible first shift hours. What You’ll Be Doing

• General support of ongoing research programs with both hands-on and theoretical engineering work

What We're Looking For

Required (basic) qualifications

• Enrollment in an Engineering Bachelor of Science degree program at an accredited institution. Students in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering or related fields are encouraged to apply.
• Authorized to work in the United States without work authorization.
• At least 60 credit hours of college coursework completed by summer 2027. In other words, we are primarily looking for sophomore and junior level students.
• We will consider applicants with at least 30 credit hours completed with an exceptional skill set and work experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical, electrical and/or software aptitude
  • Software & controls, including embedded controls
  • Mechatronics
  • MATLAB and Simulink or other simulation focused platforms
  • 3D CAD & analysis software
• Experience with hydraulic systems and components. Prior experience with the operation of farming, construction, or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, software, electronics, and vehicle systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Safety awareness, safety mindset, safe working habits
