Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging in New Jersey is seeking an Engineering Intern to support key areas such as Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement. The role will collaborate with an Engineering/Technical team on new and ongoing initiatives.

The position is open to both part-time and full-time candidates, with pay transparency indicating $20/hour for current students and $22/hour for graduates. The role emphasizes safety, GMP adherence, and hands-on project work.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Support CI projects with SAP, energy savings, design and prototyping.
  • Assist in maintaining GMP within the assigned work area.
  • Follow all plant safety guidelines.
  • OPL and document management.
  • Drive assigned projects to completion within the agreed upon project schedules.
  • Communicate project results and initiatives to internal stakeholders.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with peers and internal/external customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Manager.

Position Overview:

The Engineering Intern position will support key areas such as: Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement. This position will work with Engineering/Technical team to support new and ongoing initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) projects with SAP, Energy savings, design and prototyping.
  • Assist in maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within the assigned work area.
  • Responsible for following all Plant safety guidelines
  • OPL and document management
  • Drive assigned projects to completion within the agreed upon project schedules
  • Communicate project results and initiatives to internal stakeholders in an efficient and effective way
  • Build and develop strong relationships and work effectively with peers with internal and external customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks assigned
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational planning and follow-through abilities

Pay Transparency: This position pays $20/hour for current students, or $22/hour for college graduates.
