Job summary

Aquafil USA, Inc. invites engineering students in their 2nd to 4th years to join as a technical associate. You will support improvement and expansion projects by using CAD tools, measuring equipment, and performing calculations to set installation standards.

The role includes PO requests, budgeting, and organizing digital folders. Preferred candidates are pursuing a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum 3.2 GPA, capable of problem solving and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

  • 2nd–4th year BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2.

Responsibilities

  • Use measurement devices to verify CAD dimensions (lengths, valve positions, pipe diameters).
  • Design and optimize industrial systems, e.g., HVAC and oil heating layouts, using CAD software.
  • Perform calculations (power, pipe fluid flow) to establish installation standards.
  • Place PO requests and ensure projects stay within budget; organize digital folders.
  • Identify and create spreadsheets for needed machine parts and wires.
  • Follow Aquafil Recycling Guidelines and Environmental Management System policies.

OVERALL GOALSSupport the implement improvement or expansion projects on-time and on-budget with minimal supervision.Identify opportunities for improvement by working with Plant and Engineering Personnel.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Utilize physical measurement devices to make sure dimensions in CAD drawings are accurate, including lengths, valve positions, pipe diameters, etc.Design and optimize systems intended for industrial purposes, such as the layout of HVAC systems and oil heating systems, utilizing CAD softwarePerform calculations (power, fluid flow through a pipe, etc) to establish installation standards.Put in purchase order (PO) requests while making sure projects stay within budget and organize digital engineering folders.Identify and create spreadsheets for needed machine parts and wires.Be aware of Aquafil's Recycling Guidelines and Environmental Management Systems Policy (see supervisor if further explanation is needed).ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITYComputer literate, excellent spreadsheet skills, and proficient in AutoCAD.Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis skills.2nd , 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a BS in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringAt least a 3.2 GPA
