Job summary

TRC is seeking highly motivated Civil Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 at our Augusta, ME office. This paid full-time internship runs June through August 2027, with potential to transition into a full-time role after graduation.

Interns will work under Project Managers and Team Leaders alongside engineers, scientists and technologists. Responsibilities include assisting with engineering drawings and calculations, supporting design tasks, and taking on additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent data collection, technical writing and communication skills.
• Collaborative, organized, self-motivated, detail oriented.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Earth.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of engineering drawings and calculations.
• Support civil engineering design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Support additional tasks as necessary.

Overview

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program out of our Augusta, ME Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2027 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent data collection, technical writing and communication skills.

• Collaborative, organized, s self-motivated, detail orientated person.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Earth.

• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) is preferred but not required.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation

Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
