Job summary

Forvia in Auburn Hills, Michigan, is seeking a year-round Engineering Intern for its R&D headquarters. The intern will participate in rotational development across R&D with 6-month terms, contributing to design, engineering, drawings, equipment, and documentation.

Seeking a full-time student pursuing a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, with graduation planned for December 2028 or later and a minimum 2.8 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Participate in rotational development across Faurecia R&D during each 6-month term.

• Learn to produce and develop designs; propose continuous improvement ideas.
• Maintain familiarity with customer requirements and meet prescribed schedules.
• Share best practices and lessons learned across the organization.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Position Summary:

This is a unique opportunity as the Engineering Intern will participate in rotational development up to point of graduation, having each 6-month term with a different area of Faurecia R&D. The Engineering Intern works on assigned projects, assist manager in areas of design, engineering, drawings, equipment, and/or documentation

Responsibilities:

• Learns how to produce/develop designs
• Assists with alternative design solutions
• Maintains strong familiarity with specific customer requirements
• Completes all assignments with the prescribed schedules

• Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
• Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
